In the blink of an eye, she's off again. Rita Martinez of Buffalo is a very active senior. Approaching 70 years-old, she holds a full-time job at Buffalo's Powertrain Plant. Rita has eight grown children and five grandchildren. Still she finds time to give a helping hand wherever it is needed.
After a neighbor took a serious fall, injuring herself, Rita came to her aide. She made sure her neighbor had a cordless phone handy in case of another emergency, provided groceries and meals and made sure her ailing friend was as comfortable as possible.
Of course this proud grandma is always on hand to provide baby-sitting services. Rita enjoys keeping the children active and sometimes is ready to keep going when they're ready to give play time a rest. She loves to ride her bike (also known as her Cadillac) in the summer. Still there is always time for BINGO, baking, canning fresh fruit and cards at a local church.
There's just no stopping Rita from living each day to its fullest. She
certainly is "forever young and active."
