Buffalo native Amy Lewis has certainly come far. After her 1992 graduation from Horseheads
High School, she attended Corning Community College to receive an Associates degree in
1994. After Corning, Amy went on to SUNY Cortland to receive two degrees within a three
year time span, a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1996 and a Masters degree in Health
Education in 1997.
Amy has been a key figure of the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo and
Western New York since November of 1997. Her responsibilities currently include Program
Coordinator for the City of Buffalos Employee Wellness Program and office manager
for the New York State Federation of Professional Health Educators.
Among the numerous other projects that Amy coordinates are the Downtown
Employees Walk and the Golden Years Wellness Walk in the Parkevents held
annually in May as a part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.
In addition to her work at the Wellness Institute Amy also serves on the
Erie County Physical Activity Coalition as a member of the Older Adult Action Team and
Chairs the Spring Activity Action Team.
In her spare time Amy enjoys rollerblading, walking, swimming, Tae-Bo,
cooking and spending time with her family.
With all of her success Amy is anxiously ready for her next step. This month she plans to marry her first love and friend of six years, aspiring lawyer Harry Forrest. The young couple has already bought a home in Orchard Park and look forward to a long, healthy and happy life together. Congratulations.
