Cheektowaga native John Kwiatkowski has served his community as an optician since he was
20 years old. Johns worked in the West Seneca area since 1980, most recently joining
the Buffalo Eye Care Associates at 4154 Seneca Street.
After graduating from Bishop Turner High School, John went on to earn an associates
degree in 1973 from Erie Community College, North Campus. John then passed several New
York State Education Department exams to become a New York State licensed optician. He
served as secretary of the New York State Society of Opticians, an organization which
provides continuing education to opticians as well as providing a strong voice in Albany
for all licensed opticians in New York State.
John has not only lived and worked in this community, but he and his wife Patricia also chose Western New York to raise their children: Dina, now married, and Joe, a high school senior. John coached youth baseball for several years, which gave him a chance to help his son progress as an infielder. Now John enjoys a round of golf with friends and playing the saxophone for his churchs music team.
