Mark Johnson changes young lives through his work with the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County. As a Community Investment Manager Mark oversees corporate and community representatives, although his position as the United Way youth liaison is what brings him in contact with numerous New Yorkers.

Mark staffs the United Way Youth Council and the Western New York Delegation to the President’s Summit Youth Committee. That responsibility involves convening youth representatives from diverse demographic areas in Western New York. He assists in defining community needs critical to youth, investment of youth generated funds and the planning and implementation of community service projects.

On Long Island, Mark co-founded the 3-Degrees Organization. This group provides young people with development training and community recognition. He also founded the “Always Positive, Never Negative Award,” which is based both on Long Island and Buffalo.

This 1994 Canisius College graduate serves on the college’s Alumni Board and Center for Entrepreneurship Training Program.
Business First has recognized Mark’s dedication by honoring him with the Pathfinder’s Award and 40 under 40 Award.
Mark also had the privilege of acting as a presenter at Princeton University’s Foundation for Communication International Conference.
