E.W. Dann Stevens - Helping the less fortunate is part of
the human equation, believes E.W. Dann Stevens, a senior partner at Williams,
Stevens, McCarville & Frizzell P.C. Law Firm. Since 1952, Dann has exemplified that
belief by volunteering for the United Way and his community.
Danns attitude that one should give back to the community in which one has
prospered has driven him to serve in other aspects of the community.
One of the founders of the Food Bank of Western New York, Dann takes part in all of its
planning and development-related activities. Currently he serves as a the Chairperson of
the Board.
Along with the United Way and the Food Bank, Dann finds time to work with other
organizations; The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers, Bob Lanier Center,
Education Foundation for Greater Buffalo, Goodwill Industries, Junior Achievement, Legal
Aid Bureau and United Negro College Fund.
Dann received the Burt Flickinger Community Award and the Root-Simpson Award granted by
the New York State Bar Association for his volunteer work at the Food Bank in 1998.
In 1999 the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County honored him with the One-Person
Award, presented to the individual that exemplifies the credo that One Person Can
Make a Difference.
Within his law practice Dann concentrates on estate planning and administration,
trusts, business and financial matters. Outside of work, he is dedicated to his weekly
tennis dates and doing all he can to give back to the community...making him Forever Young
and Active!
