Betty hollinger moved to Grand Island in 1948. It wasnt until 1997,
at the age of 72 that she decided to pursue a new career at Burger King.
Through the urging of other crewmembers she decided to give it a chance.
Now she looks forward to her 5:30am shift every day. She hasnt missed a shift,
regardless of the weather.
She feels that this opportunity has given her a chance to make new friends
and income, and at the same time, leaves her the opportunity to pursue other interests in
her off time.
Her son Jay stops to visit often when shes working, while her
daughter Gail keeps a check by going through the drive-thru.
Her pride for her four grandchildren is best illustrated by their creative
articles which she shares on a regular basis.
Betty is truly a Golden Girl.
