Rick Verity is a graduate of John Glen High School in Huntington, New
York, Class of 1975. Currently he is Vice President/Region Director of Carrols
Corporation, a Syracuse based firm that owns and operates 42 Burger King Restaurants in
the Western New York area employing 2500 individuals.
He is a graduate of New Hampshire College, Manchester, New Hampshire,
Class of 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Mr. Verity is
Vice Chairman of the Western New York Public Broadcasting Corporation, Chairman of
Medaille College, Chairman of the Clarkson Center and also serves on the boards of the
National Conference and The Buffalo Hearing and Speech Foundation.
From 1979-1985, Mr. Verity served in various management positions with
Burger King Corporation, a subsidiary of the Pillsbury Companies.
Mr. Verity has received the following accolades through his involvement
with business/community activities: Buffalo Ambassador, Business First Inaugural 40 Under
40, American Lung Associations Crystal Award and the Leukemia Society of Western New
Yorks Volunteer of the Year Award. Additional community involvement has included:
Parents Anonymous, Chairman of the Great Channel 17 Auction, Artpark Fundraising Committee
and the Childrens Hospital Golf and Auction Committee. Chosen by the Buffalo News in
September of 1996 as one of twelve area business leaders to lead Western New York in the
year 2010.
Mr. Verity is a member of Leadership Buffalo, New York State Restaurant
Association and the Buffalo Partnership.
He and his wife Laura Jean live in East Amherst and have three children: R. Ryan (12),
Kyle (10) and Alexandra (8).
