Avid traveler Judith A. Kelly, originally of Williamsville, was recently awarded a
promotion by the Niagara Lutheran Health system to the Director of Nursing at Niagara
Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center on Hager Street in Buffalo. Judy has worked for
Niagara Lutheran Health System since 1988.
She now owns her own home in Tonawanda and is a member of St. John the Baptist
Roman-Catholic Church there. In her free time she loves to travel. She has
been to places such as Hawaii, New York City, California, Florida, Texas and Mexico and
has also taken a Caribbean cruise.
She also enjoys shopping and spending time with family and friends. This past summer
Judy took up the sport of roller blading, which she enjoys doing along the waterfront.
Judy remembers a lunch with two colleagues, at which she ordered a crab sandwich.
Instead of the expected crab salad, she received a whole crab, legs sticking out of
the sides and everything - an embarrassing moment. After asking for the waiters
assistance, Judy proceeded to pick the legs off the crab and eat half the sandwich.
Judy received her Associates degree in Nursing from Erie County Community College in
1984 and is currently attending Empire State College to obtain a Bachelors degree in
Management and Economics.
