Congratulations to Robert G. Benzel, one of 40 named to the 1999 “Forty Under Forty” list by Business First magazine. Given to individuals who excel in business as well as community service, Robert was tapped from a list of over 300 nominees.

A native of Lancaster, Rob graduated from high school there in 1980, continuing his education at Grove City College, where he earned a degree in Marketing and Finance. Currently president of Colecraft Manufacturing Company, Inc., he credits the support of friends and family in his community that have helped and encouraged him. In return, Rob has served as a charter member and past chairman of the Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce, past chairman of the Industrial Forum of Eastern Erie County and as an officer of TR Manufacturing. What’s more, he’s on the board for Buffalo Gauge, Inc, of Amherst, and is currently vice-chairman of the Lancaster Industrial Development Agency.

The community can also thank Rob for his activities on behalf of the Lancaster Presbyterian Church, Roswell Park Alliance Foundation and the Southeast Community Work Center.

And he still calls Lancaster home, where he resides with his wife, Jennifer.
